DREADNOUGHT
Like bright colored leaves and a crisp autumn day, the combination of spruce and mahogany is perfection. The woods not only complement each other aesthetically, they also work together to create a great sound with lots of wonderful overtones. This companionship of woods together with a dreadnaught body provide a focused tone, that is rich with mid-range frequencies, which are crucial for cutting through a mix of instruments.
TOP WOOD

Sitka Spruce is the most well-rounded tone wood and is used on more guitar tops than any other wood. This is due to the tonal qualities and sonic projection of spruce. It has a nice even tone and does not accentuate any frequency above another in an overpowering way. Spruce also has a strong attack and does not get muddy at high volumes. This makes it a very versatile wood and makes those players with soft touches sound great and people playing with other instruments cut through the mix.
BODY SHAPE

The dreadnought body shape has been the most popular shape for decades now for a number of reasons. First, it has a nice balance between low, mid and high frequencies. Where some body shapes scoop the mid range, a dreadnought will bring the mid range up. This is important when playing with a group of instruments. The mid range of a guitar will stand out. Because of the tonal balance of a dreadnought, the sound does not get muddy and will be very articulate even when a player is a more aggressive picker.
Just purchased this guitar. Can’t give it a five star since I haven’t played it long enough, but, so far so good! Love it so far!!

Well, I’ve been playing this guitar for months now and I love it. Best acoustic guitar I’ve ever owned! I’m giving it 5 stars now!

I wanted a great sounding acoustic guitar at an affordable price. After trying several familiar brands at the local music store, the salesperson handed me a Teton STS100NT. The tone was just what I wanted and I couldn’t believe such a great sounding guitar was actually available within my budget. I am so happy with my purchase, and will be recommending Teton Guitars from now on.

My girlfriend got me my Teton for Christmas…a “guitar snob” friend of mine even had to admit it sounds as good as his Martin! Great instrument..lovin’ it!
