RANGE
Like an unexpected splash of fresh mountain air, our Range guitars offer refreshing surprises. The first is the way we describe the Range. We call it a Mini-Jumbo. “Well, that is a dichotomy,” I hear you say. Let me explain. We took our Jumbo body shape and minied it. “Well, ‘Minied’ isn’t even a word,” I hear you whisper under your breath. Sure, it is. I just used it. We also added a rounded back to this little guy. What happens when you take a minied jumbo and add a rounded back? BOOM. Incredible tone and larger than appearances sound projection. Keep in mind that this guitar has a rarefied, solid sitka spruce top. That is going to give you even more volume and a very pleasant tonal range. If you were in the market for a ¾ guitar that sounded like a full size guitar, then you can consider yourself removed from said market because you just met the Range.
TOP WOOD

Sitka Spruce is the most well-rounded tone wood and is used on more guitar tops than any other wood. This is due to the tonal qualities and sonic projection of spruce. It has a nice even tone and does not accentuate any frequency above another in an overpowering way. Spruce also has a strong attack and does not get muddy at high volumes. This makes it a very versatile wood and makes those players with soft touches sound great and people playing with other instruments cut through the mix.
BODY SHAPE

The range is a body that is unique to Teton guitars. We took our Jumbo (which is unique for a jumbo) and made a mini version of it. We call the Range our "Mini-jumbo" guitar. It is a 3/4 guitar that was built to sound like any other full size guitar. We accomplish this by having solid tops and arched backs on all Range guitars. Together, these elements produce a loud, full sound. The Range is built to be a traveling guitar, but it quickly became a favorite of Teton fans from child to teen to adult and encompassing all playing styles.
